Credentials
Biographical Profile:
I grew up in Kansas City, Missouri and went to college at the
University of Minnesota where I received my Bachelors degree in
Nursing. After graduation I moved to Boston, Massachusetts and began
my career in nursing first at Beth Israel Hospital and then Massachusetts
General Hospital.
After a few years of hospital nursing I began to feel the need
for more intense involvement and accountability in patient care.
So in 1973 I completed a Masters degree in nursing at Boston, University
and in 1979 a second Masters degree from Simmons College, becoming
certified as an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP). I moved to Arizona
with my family in 1991. With their support, I created my own primary
care practice, New Paths to Healthcare, L.L.C. in January of 2002.
Here, I can offer quality medical and nursing care the way it should
be: MEDICAL CARE WITH A NURSES TOUCH.
I believe it is important to practice what one preaches, so I exercise
regularly, practice Yoga, incorporate vegetarian cuisine into my
diet, and for fun I do crossword puzzles (New York Times!), study
the American Civil War, and I love to knit.
